Robert Hussey, P.E., is a seasoned manufacturing engineer with over 40 years of experience, excelling in new product development, machine design and automation, capital projects, safety, and corporate tool and die management.
As a licensed engineer, Robert has a proven expertise in designing custom manufacturing machinery. He leverages advanced 3D modeling techniques to create high-fidelity, fully functional 3D-printed prototypes, which play a vital role in driving innovation and developing intellectual property at Hussey Medical.
Dan Hussey
Daniel Hussey, M.D. is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), a field dedicated to treating a wide range of physical disabilities. Dr. Dave Shoemaker, a Ph.D. microbiologist and retired U.S. Army officer, dedicated 21 years to advancing medical product development for the military, including securing FDA clearance for the first anthrax diagnostic test, the Gamma Phage Assay. With experience at the FDA, he provided expert guidance on FDA-regulated products to the Department of Defense, including advising General James Mattis on the risks of deploying the unapproved Theranos diagnostic device. After retiring from the military, Dr. Shoemaker founded Shoemaker Regulatory Consulting, LLC to help medical device startups successfully bring their products to market.
